Abstract

The whole world is confronted with environmental problems. India is also not an exception to this menace. India is also facing challenges such as air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution, use of plastics, degradation of the natural environment etc. The situation worsened after independence till 1990s. However, World Bank experts are unanimous in their report that between 1995 through 2010, India has registered the fastest progress in addressing its environmental grievances and improving its environmental quality in the world. However, still, India has a lot to do to improve environmental quality similar to those enjoyed in developed economies. In a tumultuous global situation where an ever-increasing number of people are facing problem due to pollution, it’s more important than ever to take notice of Environment issues.
