Abstract

The initiation of capital market reforms plays a significant role in driving equity prices under the expectations of increased values of stocks. This paper attempt to study and evaluate the Fundamental analysis and investment valuation to identify the impact on stock price of financial services sector firms in Indian stock market, by regression analysis Impact of GDP rate, inflation rate, currency fluctuation with rupee/dollar on price fluctuation and the stock price movement is evaluated, Return on equity (ROE), Payout ratio, Net margin, Relative risk, Growth and Price earnings ratio of financial sector company have been analyzed, Regression analysis of industry variables which cause deviation in the market performance of indexes and impact of benchmark index with stock return. The analysis reveals that GDP factor, inflation and currency volatility has no significant impact on all stock prices. Thus GDP volatility does not affect the price of the shares.


Overall best performance of ROE is executed by Rural electrification corporate Ltd, Payout ratio by Housing development finance corporation Ltd, Net Margin by Bajaj Holding and Investment Ltd, Relative Risk by Power Finance Corporation Ltd, Growth by Bajaj Finance Ltd, Price Earnings Ratio by Bajaj Finserv Ltd. Relevant industry sartorial index which cause divergence in the market performance of financial service sector and benchmark have significant impact on stock returns.
