Abstract

The Start-up India Action Plan launched by Mr. Narendra Modi, honourable Prime Minister of India on 16th January 2016 has kindled the spirit of adventure among the youth of the country.


They need not sit on the fence any longer and can take the risk which they wanted to. Indeed, the Prime Minister’s speech in this regards is undoubtedly going to galvanise the Start-up movement.


Considering the fact that West Bengal is an epitome of excellence in the country as it leads the nation in numerous aspects, an attempt has been made to write this paper titled “Start-Up: Its Prospects And Opportunities In West Bengalâ€.


This paper would throw light on the initiatives taken by the state government for the young generation of the state with the vision of “Silpa Korun Bangla Gorun†(set up industry develop Bengal) to come forward and set up new enterprise with assured support from the state government.
